Frequently Asked Questions

I’VE HEARD OF A DAY-OF OR MONTH-OF WEDDING COORDINATION. BUT WHAT IS WEDDING MANAGEMENT?

Great question! While there’s no industry-standard definition for “Day-Of” or “Month-Of” Coordination, these services typically begin 4–8 weeks before the wedding and include limited vendor management + logistical planning. These packages may also provide fewer hours (6-10 hours) of on-site support on your wedding day. Our Wedding Management Package offers a comprehensive experience beginning 12 weeks before your wedding. It includes personalized planning meetings, full vendor coordination, a customized timeline, and assistance with your seating chart + reception layout. On the wedding day, we provide 11 hours of on-site coordination—including décor setup, timeline management, vendor oversight, and post-event takedown—to ensure everything runs smoothly from start to finish.

I HAVE ALREADY DONE ALL THE PLANNING + DECOR STYLING FOR MY WEDDING ON MY OWN, BUT MY VENUE SAYS I STILL NEED A WEDDING PLANNER. WHY?

Amazing! You’ve nailed the design portion of your wedding—now it’s time to bring it all to life. A wedding planner helps manage the logistics behind the scenes, so everything flows seamlessly. We create your timeline, help manage your vendors, finalize your seating chart, set out place cards so everyone gets the right meal, ensure floral arrangements and ceremony seating are placed perfectly, and communicate setup details with your venue. Our job is to make sure all the moving parts are in sync so your design vision can truly shine.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A VENUE MANAGER AND A WEDDING PLANNER? WHY DO I NEED BOTH?

Venue managers are incredible. They know every detail of the venue space inside and out. They handle rain plans, power outages, vendor load-ins and load-outs, and can recommend the best spots for your ceremony and photos—all while keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. Your wedding planner, on the other hand, manages the full coordination of your day—vendor management, setup and take down, décor, styling, timeline management, ceremony flow, and being the go-to person for all the details throughout the day. Both roles are essential, but they serve very different purposes—together, they make your day run seamlessly.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING A CONSULTATION CALL?

You’re making a lot of big decisions about your wedding right now — it can feel overwhelming! During a consultation call, my goal is to learn more about your vision, aesthetic, and the atmosphere you want to create for your guests. We’ll talk about any concerns you may have + also what you’re most excited about! You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions. Then, we will walk you through our service packages + you get to decide if we are a good fit.

CAN YOU SET UP THE DECOR FOR MY WEDDING?

Yes! Part of our role is bringing your aesthetic vision to life. We will gladly help with tablescapes, placing signage, and arranging your memory or guestbook table. We will work with your caterer + florist to make sure all arrangements are placed correctly + the tablescape is how you envisioned it to be. If your décor setup is very extensive, we’ll create a plan together to be sure everything is set up. This may include involving a family member for assistance or adding extra service hours to your package so we can arrive early.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE WEDDING MANAGEMENT PACKAGE + THE PARTIAL PLANNING PACKAGE?

Both packages offer comprehensive wedding management for the 12 weeks leading up to the wedding and on the wedding day. All services in the Wedding Management Package are offered in the Partial Planning Package. However, Partial Planning services start up to 12 months before the wedding day. This package includes more support in the early- and mid-planning stages, such as meetings with vendors, additional communication about planning items, access to our online portal for seating charts + reception layout, and 12 hours of on-site coordination the day of the wedding.

WHAT IS YOUR PAYMENT SCHEDULE?

The payment schedule for both packages requires a 50% retainer at time of contract signing. The remainder of the payment is due 6 weeks prior to the wedding date. The remainder can be paid in a single payment or multiple payments.
